Cheap cables will start cutting out and wear out much quicker. Crappy microphone cables will even fall or get pulled out cause the lock fits like crap. A quality cable like a monster will last much longer and has a lifetime warranty so you will never have to purchase a replacement. I lost count of how many crappy cables I've replaced.

These set of Monster Cables get the job done very beautifully. In my opinion, there is a big difference between regular cable and the Monster cable. And there is not a whole lot difference between the Monster cable and the next level of cables that cost hundreds and thousands more dollars until the receiver and speakers are in a mucher higher
Trust me, you will hear the difference. I used to play Monster Rock 12 ft cables (which are good strong cables), but I took a chance to upgrade. I'm glad I did because it really is an upgrade. This cable sounds better by a mile. The 18 ft mogami sounds better than the 12 ft Monster Rock. That should tell you something. Posts: 338. I've used monster cables for the past 8 years, instrument cables, patch cables, microphone and speaker cables. I gig almost every weekend and have had no problems in the least from any of them. They seem to produce a good sound IMO, and have definitely been durable so I can't comment on the return policy.
Sounds like the clerk had no clue about the Monster cable policy. Blame his manager for poorly training him. Next time, take it to Best Buy. ANY Monster dealer is supposed to honor the replacement warranty. It's the only thing that makes those stupid cables worth buying.

Cheap component video cables on a high definition TV absolutely suck compared to good ones. I use monster cables for my DVD and DISH 6000 connections, and the difference is phenominal.
